Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi (Arrival)
Your Golden Triangle Tour with Udaipur begins with a warm welcome in Delhi, where our team
members will assist you with your smooth transfer to the hotel. This stay in India's capital will
expose you to a unique blend of old traditions and technological success. Delhi, today a symbol of
transformation, elegantly combines its rich historical past with modern culture.
Today, you will visit the historic Red Fort (closed on Mondays), also known as Lal Quila, which was
constructed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. The fort, built over nine years from red sandstone,
stands as a testimony to the grandeur of the Mughal era, with two towering gateways.
Next, proceed to the Bahai Temple, also known as the Lotus Temple (closed on Mondays) because
of its distinctive lotus-shaped marble design, which sits atop Kalkaji Hill.
You will then drive by India Gate, a monument dedicated to the 90,000 Indian Army troops who
gave their lives for the Indian Empire, and catch a sight of the President's House.
Finish the day with an overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, take a local sightseeing tour of New Delhi.
Start by visiting Mahatma Gandhi memorial, Raj Ghat. This simple black stone altar, with its
perpetual light, pays honor to the man who changed the world through the power of his ideals.
Next, visit Jama Masjid, which is just 500 meters from the Red Fort. Shah Jahan built India
greatest mosque in the 16th century, and it features stunning white marble and sandstone
architecture. The mosque can accommodate up to 25,000 people and contains artistically etched
relics on its gates.
Continue to the Qutub Minar, a stunning example of Afghan architecture. Qutub-ud-din Aibak
built this 73-meter-tall brick minaret, which has five floors and is decorated with intricate carvings
and inscriptions.
Finish the day with a visit to Humayun Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Haji Begum,
Humayun wife, built this masterpiece of Mughal architecture in 1570, which is regarded as a
predecessor to the design of the Taj Mahal.
Finish the day with an overnight stay in New Delhi.
Day 3: Delhi to Agra (Approx 220 Kms/ 04 Hrs)
Drive from Delhi to Agra, stopping in the holy city of Mathura to visit the Shri Krishna Janmasthan
Temple. This sacred shrine is built around the prison cell in which Lord Krishna's parents, Mata
Devaki and Vasudeva, were imprisoned by his despotic uncle Kansa.
When you arrive in Agra, check into your pre-booked hotel and relax before continuing on a
sightseeing tour of the medieval city. Agra, known for its architectural marvels, welcomes
travelers from all over the world.
Begin with the Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays), Shah Jahan's magnificent white marble masterpiece
created to honour his loving wife, Mumtaz Mahal. This monument, created by Persian architect
Ustad Isa, took 22 years to build and is known for its harmonic design, perfect symmetry, and
delicate inlay work.
Next, proceed to the Agra Fort, a wonderful red sandstone building built by Emperor Akbar in 1565
AD. The fort, enclosed by a chahar-bagh (four-square garden), houses the magnificent Pearl
Mosque and is located on the banks of the Yamuna River. Agra Fort, with its huge gates, towering
walls, and moat, served as Akbar's stronghold and represents the pinnacle of Mughal construction.
Finish your journey with a visit to the Baby Taj, also known as Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb. Nur Jahan
built this exquisite mausoleum in 1628 for her father, Itmad-Ud-Daulah, a major figure in the
Mughal court. It is frequently seen to be more elaborate than the Taj Mahal.
End the day with an overnight stay in Agra.
Day 4: Agra- Jaipur ( Approx 245 Kms/ 04 Hrs)
Start your journey to Jaipur, Rajasthan's lively Pink City, by visiting Fatehpur Sikri along the way.
Sangram Singh, the Sikriwal Rajput Maharana, originally founded this medieval city in the Agra
area. Emperor Akbar was captivated by its splendor and conducted numerous expeditions against
it, eventually conquering the city on his seventh attempt. This site, renamed Fatehpur Sikri,
features a unique blend of Rajput and Mughal influences that reflect Uttar Pradesh's rich legacy.
After exploring the architectural magnificence of Fatehpur Sikri, continue your journey to Jaipur.
This city, steeped in the tradition of strong Rajput warriors, is filled with various historical
landmarks, including the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, Jaigarh Fort, Amer Fort, and Sheesh
Mahal. Jaipur flawlessly integrates its traditional charm with modern culture, making it a top
destination for tourists from all over the world.
Upon arriving in Jaipur, check into your hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 5: Jaipur Sightseeing
Start your day with a visit to Jaipur's iconic forts and palaces, beginning with Hawa Mahal after
breakfast.
Hawa Mahal – This "Palace of Winds" is one of Jaipur’s most famous landmarks. Its five-story
façade, crafted from pink sandstone, features intricate latticework and ornate balconies. Built in
1799 by Maharaja Pratap Singh, the Hawa Mahal boasts 953 small windows, designed to allow
royal women to observe street festivities without being seen.
Next, drive to Amber Fort, nestled in the scenic Aravalli Hills. Here, you can enjoy an elephant ride,
a popular experience among tourists, available at an additional cost. The foundation of this
magnificent fort was laid by Raja Man Singh I and later completed by Mirza Raja Jai Singh. The
fort’s impressive architecture and panoramic views make it a must-visit in Jaipur.
Proceed to Jal Mahal – the "Water Palace," a striking example of Rajputana architecture. Located
in the middle of Man Sagar Lake, this five-story palace appears to float on the water, with four of
its stories submerged when the lake is full.
Continue your exploration with a visit to City Palace, an exquisite blend of Mughal and traditional
Rajasthani architecture. Covering one-seventh of Jaipur's walled city, the palace complex includes
the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple, and the City Palace Museum.
Your next stop is Jantar Mantar, the largest and best-preserved of the five observatories built by
Maharaja Jai Singh II. This astronomical marvel, featuring oversized instruments, remains in use
today.
If time permits, you can either indulge in shopping at nearby markets, famous for gold and silver
jewelry, pottery, tie-dye fabrics, silk saris, wooden handicrafts, and carpets, or visit Govind Dev Ji
Temple, a revered Vaishnava temple located within the City Palace complex.
Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Jaipur - Udaipur (Approx 430 Kms/ 06 Hrs)
After breakfast, take a lovely drive to Udaipur. When you arrive in Lake City, check into your hotel
and fulfill the necessary paperwork. After refreshing, head out to visit Udaipur, also known as the
'Jewel of Mewar.' Udaipur is a popular tourist destination known for its romantic beauty. It has
three interconnected lakes: Pichola Lake, Swaroop Sagar Lake, and Fateh Sagar Lake. Enjoy the
charming ambiance of this beautiful city before leaving to your hotel for the night.
Day 7: Udaipur Sightseeing
Start your day with a delightful breakfast served at the hotel.
Begin your sightseeing tour of Udaipur with a visit to the grand City Palace. Overlooking Lake
Pichola, this architectural masterpiece is a stunning example of Rajput design. A section of the
palace has been transformed into a museum, where you can explore a maze of royal chambers,
courtyards, and narrow staircases hidden behind its fortified walls. The palace showcases intricate
miniatures, antiques, and exquisite paintings, with highlights including the vibrant mosaics of
peacocks in More Mahal and the serene courtyard of shady trees at Amar Vilas.
Next, visit Saheliyon Ki Bari, or "Garden of the Maidens," built by Maharana Sangram Singh in the
mid-18th century along the shores of Fateh Sagar Lake. This lush garden is adorned with fountains,
where water flows through the trunks of large stone elephants using only natural water
pressure—no pumps required. Of special interest is the garden's clever sound design: in a secluded
corner, large-leaved plants soften the sound of water on stones, creating the auditory illusion of
being in a tropical forest during heavy rain.
Continue your exploration with a visit to the magnificent Jagdish Temple, a 17th-century marvel
located in the heart of Udaipur. This fine example of Indo-Aryan architecture features a towering
black stone idol of Lord Vishnu as its main deity. The temple’s outer walls and tower are adorned
with intricate carvings that depict scenes from the life of Krishna and other stories from Vishnu’s
lore.
In the evening, consider an optional motor launch cruise on the tranquil waters of Lake Pichola, a
perfect way to end your day.
Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Udaipur.
Day 8: Udaipur Departure
Start your morning with a delicious breakfast before heading to Udaipur Airport for your onward
flight to your next destination. Take with you pleasant memories!
